Lisa’s work as a building’s archaeologist has given her an unintended and privileged peek into the secret lives of the rich and famous. The main thrust of the archaeological surveys is to understand the building, which is often accompanied by some fascinating insights into the lives of the occupants, both past and present. The people are an integral part of the life of a building, and they often leave permanent reminders within the very fabric of the structures. This talk will explore some of the wonderful historic buildings within Sussex, as well as providing opportunities to glimpse through the keyhole of the people who have contributed to the special character of the buildings.
